Description
Folks,The Brewing Academy is happy to remind you that we are selling the remainder of the Ralph Benzinger’s FlashROM 99 cartridges that we assembled. (Okay, it’s just me here, but “we” sounds so much more cooler!).
The case was modified and printed by me. NOW AVAILABLE IN MULTIPLE COLORS!!
TO BE CLEAR: This auction includes an assembled and tested FR99 Cartridge inside of a custom made case with the label you see printed. You have to provide your OWN SD card (most of them work without a problem). You will have to download your own ROMs (see the links below).
IF you ONLY need the cartridge:
They are available separately for + shipping. L
ook at "Seller's Other items" Sorry, eBay says no links.
IF you do not want/need the CASE:
I am selling bare assembled cartridges for .99+ shipping.
L
ook at "Seller's Other items" Sorry, eBay says no links.
NOTA BENE TAKE NOTICE READ THIS COME ON! READ!
If your TI 99/4a is a "QI model", the FR99 will NOT work on it. (Also, AtariSoft carts, HomeBrew carts and most non-TI carts will NOT work).
How do you know if your TI is a QI model? When you start it up, at the bottom of the screen, if it says "© 1983 Texas Instruments V. 2.2" then you have a QI (Quality Improved) model. You should get a new TI. Seriously. They do not cost that much and you will not be able to run the non-TI approved cartridges.
Go to this page to see images: eBay says no links
If you buy an FR99 and send it back because you have a QI model, you will be charged a 20% restocking fee. Sorry, but that is the ONLY reason these could ever be defective.
Someone had a question about SD card size:
The FlashROM 99 supports both SD and SDHC cards of class 4 or higher. Slower and unrated cards may also work, just try and see.
Cards must be formatted with the FAT16 or FAT32 filesystem. FAT16 is the default for new SD cards of up to 2 GB, and FAT32 is the default for new SDHC cards of 4 GB and up.
Note that some cards seem to have a difficult personality. For SD cards, it may help to use FAT32 instead of the FAT16 default. If you absolutely cannot get a particular SD/SDHC card to work, just move on and use a different one.
Image files can be dragged and dropped as-is into the root folder of the SD card. Filenames must end in
.bin
, but case is ignored. Files with other extensions may be present and are skipped. For multi-file images, filenames must have at most 8 characters w/o extension due to filesystem limitations.
The FlashROM 99 handles up to 171 image entries per SD card. Additional images will be ignored
Don’t know what an FlashROM99 cartridge is?
Google AtariAge and FlashROM99 (eBay says no links)
You can certainly build your own, or you can buy one already assembled and ready to go from me.
