Our mold inspection includes:
A complete and thorough investigation of the interior of the home
A check of the exterior of the home to identify possible contributing factors to a water intrusion
2 tests for mold (swabs, air samples or a combination of both)
A 25 - 30 page written inspection report that includes pictures
The inspector's recommendations based on his findings
If more than 2 tests are deemed necessary and are approved by the property owner, they will be charged at an additional per test, payable at time of the inspection.
Our mold inspection includes observation of the property grounds, building exterior, crawl space, attic and the entire interior. To be sure of a thorough inspection, we check the property to seek out the cause of active growth. As mold needs a combination of oxygen, food, and moisture to grow, and since it can eat almost any surface, moisture is usually what triggers the growth. The inspector's job is to seek out the cause of this excessive moisture and identify any active growth. Samples of two potential affected areas are taken and sent to a third-party lab to be analyzed. Inspections, testing, and remediation are always completely confidential. Our inspectors will arrive in unmarked cars as we do realize that having mold testing performed in your home is not something you necessarily want broadcast to your neighborhood.
Once the inspection is finished, a comprehensive report is sent to American Mold Experts. Upon receipt of the report, we will assign an advisor that will work with you to make suggestions on how to deal with the moisture issue and the infected area(s).
