    Description

THIS IS A VERY WELL DONE,ORIGINAL IMAGE OF AN EARLY 19TH CENTURY SAILOR YEARNING FOR HIS LADYLOVE WHILE OUT TO SEA.  IT IS A FAIRLY LARGE PENCIL DRAWING MEASURING 17" X 16 1/2".  IT IS FRAMED IN AN ELABORATE FOLK ART FRAME COMPRISED OF ACORNS AND PINE CONES. THERE ARE SOME MISSING  PINE CONE PIECES BUT ONE MUST LOOK HARD TO NOTICE. THIS IS AN EXTRAORDINARY WORK OF EARLY AMERICAN ART THAT WOULD MAKE A GREAT COMPLIMENT TO YOUR MARITIME COLLECTION.
