    1993 Vintage IBM PS/1 Consultant Tower - It works!
    Walk with me for a minute if you don't mind. There must be a reason I never got rid of this tower. This was our first computer. We bought it at Circuit City in Escindido, CA in 1993 when we hit the California Lottery for 62. Our son was 3 at the time.
    Fast forward to 2021 & we recently bought a compatible monitor cord and keyboard adapter so we could see if it still worked.
    Son has replaced the CMOS CR2032 Battery, booted it up and it was a walk down memory lane to see all his programs we installed for his learning enjoyment. Back in the 90s, I had updated/added more memory & when my husband asked, "what's the internet and how do we get on it?", I upgraded the modem from 2400baud to eventually 56k Modem. I think I upgraded the sound card & video card as well as the CD drive but don't quite remember.
    Yes, we had dial up AOL, Prodigy, Netscape. I upgraded DOS & Windows everytime I could. What a great foundation for us all to learn about hardware & software uogrades on our own computer.
